This page explains which cookies we use, why, and how you can change your preferences.
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can be used to make a site work properly, remember your preferences, or analyze site usage.
We group our cookies into three categories. Every category other than strictly necessary cookies is used only with your explicit consent, and none is pre-selected:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Berkbey Elektrik (first party) | Keeps your cart, sign-in and checkout steps during your visit to the store; protects forms against forged requests (CSRF) | Until the browser is closed | Strictly necessary |
| bb_consent | Berkbey Elektrik (first party) | Remembers which cookie categories you allowed and when; shared by the main site and the store | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| bb-theme | Berkbey Elektrik (local storage) | Remembers the light/dark theme you chose | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google LLC (Google Analytics) | Distinguishes visitors by a pseudonymous ID to produce usage statistics | Up to 2 years | Analytics (consent-based) |
| NID and similar Google cookies | Google LLC (Google Maps) | Operation of the embedded map and Google's own preference/security purposes | Set by Google (usually 6 months) | External content (consent-based) |
"bb-theme" is technically not a cookie — it is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to our server. The PayTR payment page opened for card payments may use its own strictly necessary cookies, under PayTR's responsibility.
If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics is loaded. It processes a shortened IP address and recognises you by a pseudonymous ID rather than your name, but this can still count as personal data. Data may be transferred to Google LLC's servers abroad, including the USA. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. Without your consent Google Analytics is never loaded.
The location map on our contact page is provided by Google. Unless you allow "External Content", the map is not loaded and no request is sent to Google. Pressing "Show Map" loads it for that page only. You can also use the "Open in Google Maps" link without loading the embedded map.
On your first visit a cookie notice appears at the bottom of the page with "Accept All", "Reject All" and "Manage Preferences". "Manage Preferences" lets you switch each category on or off. Your choice is kept for 12 months; after that, or when the cookies we use change, we ask again.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie Preferences" at the bottom of every page or the button below. When you withdraw analytics consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted from your browser. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

"bb-theme" and "bb-cookie-consent" are technically not cookies — they are stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to our server; they're listed here for transparency.
We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage, but only if you consent. These cookies process your IP address in an anonymized form, and data may be transferred to Google LLC's servers, including outside Turkey. See Google's own Privacy Policy for details.
Our contact page embeds a Google Maps widget to show our location. When loaded, this component may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy, outside of Berkbey Elektrik's control.
On your first visit you'll see a cookie banner at the bottom of the page where you can choose "Accept" or "Reject". To change your choice later, click "Cookie Preferences" at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner. You can also clear or block cookies/local storage via your browser settings at any time.
